Our position

MultiLap (the "App") does not collect any personal information or usage data.

The App does not communicate over a network. All data, including measurement results, card names, and photos, is stored on the user's device, and the App never transmits it to any server or third party.

On iOS, however, if the user has device backup enabled (such as iCloud Backup), the App's data is included in that backup like any other app's data (see below). That is a function of the operating system, not a transmission by the App.

Information we do not collect

The App neither obtains nor transmits any of the following.

The App contains no analytics SDK and no advertising SDK.

On Android, the App does not declare the INTERNET permission, which guarantees at the platform level that it cannot communicate over a network.

Information stored on the device

The following is stored only on the user's device, solely to make the App work.

Stored dataPurpose
Card names, accent colors, ordering, and group structureTo restore the layout of the measurement screens
Measurement state (start time, accumulated time, laps)To continue and restore timing after the App is closed
Saved records (snapshots of results and their labels)To let users review past results
Templates (reusable card layouts)To reuse a card layout repeatedly
Settings (language, theme, screen wakelock, haptics, sound)To carry settings over to the next launch
Photos assigned to cards on the Rich screenTo make cards easier to tell apart

Uninstalling the App removes all of this from the device.

On Android, the App excludes this data from automatic backup and device-to-device transfer (allowBackup="false" and dataExtractionRules), so it is not carried over when switching devices.

On iOS, this data is included in the device backup. It is carried over when you restore a new device from an iCloud backup or use Quick Start.

Camera and photo library

The App requests access to the camera or the photo library only when the user assigns a photo to a card on the Rich screen. It never requests access at launch.

Images obtained this way are stored within the App's area on the device and are never transmitted by the App (they are included in the device backup like any other data). Declining the permission leaves every feature other than photos fully usable.

Disclosure to third parties

Because the App collects no data, there is nothing to disclose to third parties.

Deleting data

Users can delete their data in the following ways.

Children's privacy

The App may be used at any age, and collects no personal information from any user.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the "last updated" date revised. Significant changes will also be noted in the App's release notes.
